On the results of election of the Senate deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 28, 2008 ¹ 635 the election of deputies to the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held on October 4, 2008.
On the basis of regional, cities of Astana and Almaty election commissions’ minutes on the results of vote counting on election of deputies to the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces that elections are declared valid in 14 areas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, cities of Astana and Almaty.
37 candidates stood for election.
Of 3310 voters 3231 voters or 97.61 percent of the total number of electors took part in the voting.
Of the total number of ballots 213 invalid ballots were found.
The following outcomes of election of the Senate deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan were set:
- From Akmola Oblast Dzhalmagambetova Svetlana Zhakiyankyzy received 230 (85,8 percent), Kazhibaev Zhanabergen Kazhibayuly received 32 (11,9 percent), Ibraev Baktybay Kabildinuly received 6 (2,2 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Aktobe Oblast Amirov Iran Amiruly received 190 (96,4 percent), Izgarin Kadirzhan Iskendiruly received 7 (3,6 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Almaty Oblast Idrisov Kanat Aidaruly received 21 (6,6 per cent), Suleimenov Nurlan Ilyasuly received 299 (93,4 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Atyrau Oblast Yensegenov Sarsenbay Kurmanuly received 122 (96,8 percent), Lukpanov Sagyndyk Esengaliuly received 4 (3,2 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From East-Kazakhstan Oblast Kavrigin Dmitriy Yuryevich received 6 (1,9 per cent), Plotnikov Sergey Viktorovich received 297 (94,6 percent) votes, Fedosov Alexandr Ivanovich received 11 (3,5 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Zhambyl Oblast Podshibyakina Tatyana Borisovna received 14 (9,5 per cent), Savchenko Alexander Georgievich received 134 (90,5 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From West-Kazakhstan Oblast Bekmagambetov Magal Tuleuuly received 11 (5,7 per cent), Mukaev Erbulat Rahmetuly received 181 (94,3 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Karaganda Oblast Ivchenko Gennady Ivanovich received 1 (0,4 per cent), Kubaychuk Yuriy Alekseevich received 277 (99.6 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Kyzylorda Oblast Baimakhanov Kozhakhmet received 138 (97,2 percent), Makhatov Bagdat Tagiruly received 1 (0,7 per cent), Sakhtaganov Talgat Tulekuly received 3 (2,1 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Kostanay Oblast Valiev Khussain Khasenuly received 269 (93,1 percent), Kuanyshbaev Seitbek Bekenuly received 5 (1,7 per cent), Satmukhambetov Serik Umurzakuly received 15 (5,2 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Mangystau Oblast Bortnik Mikhail Mikhailovich received 105 (95,5 percent), Ismurzina Gulzhan Makhsutkyzy received 5 (4,5 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Pavlodar Oblast Zhumabaev Yermek Zhianshinuly received 178 (89,4 percent), Sitkazinov Aidar Kinzhitayuly received 21 (10,6 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From North-Kazakhstan Oblast Bashmakov Anatoliy Afanasievich received 174 (80,9 percent), Karbaev Yesengeldy Shaikenuly received 41 (19,1 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From South-Kazakhstan Oblast Opyshev Zhenis Dauletuly received 28 (17,3 percent), Rakhmanberdiev Orynbay received 134 (82,7 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Astana city Yerketaev Mukhtar Dyusenuly received 8 (32,0 percent), Omarov Kaisar Ospanuly received 17 (68,0 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting;
- From Almaty city Kudairbegenov Kumiskhan Kerimbekuly received 4 (12,1 per cent), Setenov Toktar received 4 (12,1 per cent), Turegeldinov Zhumabek Suleimenuly received 25 (75,8 percent) votes of the number of electors that took part in the voting.
As the Senate deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan were elected:
