| Appeal and Cancellation of Decisions and Actions during the Election Campaign |
 |
Decisions and actions (omissions) of the election commission are appealed in a higher election commission or a court within 10 (ten) days following such a decision or action (omission), unless the Election Law sets other deadlines for appeals. Appeals against decisions or actions of an election commission filed after these deadlines will not be considered. Submission of an appeal to a higher election commission is not a pre-requsite for a judicial recourse.
When appeals are considered both by the election commission and the court at the same time, the election commission suspends proceedings until a court judgment becomes effective. The court notifies the election commission of the application filed and of its decision coming to force based on the results of proceedings.
Applications from citizens and organizations regarding breaches of election laws are considered by election commissions within five days following the date of submission of a complaint, unless otherwise stipulated by the Election Law.
Complaints about decisions or actions (omissions) of election commissions and their members are considered by a higher election commission within three days following the date of their submission, unless otherwise stipulated by the Election Law .
